For Dependence Day, strangers and acquaintances in every single state of America agreed to mail him back for the 4th of July, a drawing he had previously sent them. The resulting work, a giant flag stamp composed of 48 envelopes and two empty spaces measures a certain state of reliability in the Union.

Return to Sender, the artist send 100 envelopes, with return address to a fabricated address in Iraq during the Iraq war. "Some parents send their children off knowing they may or may not come back," Solomon says. "I figure the least I could do would be to part with my paintings." More than half returned, The ones that did not were replaced with bank white envelopes.
